As part of our Science week, in PE the Year 4 children have been learning all about the cardiovascular system. They conducted an experiment to observe the effect of different activities on their heart rate. Many of the children found that 30 seconds of mountain climbers made their heart rate increase the most when compared with squats, burpees and star jumps.
Year 3 focused on the musculoskeletal system and learnt the scientific names for the major bones in the body. They then competed in a relay race to find all the pieces of the skeleton and fit them together, naming as many as they could!
